User Guidelines
Note! Before using the iPinium trays for the first time we strongly recommend that you smear them thinly with grease/cooking oil. You only need to do this the first time, but of course you may add fat in order to make your food tastier or to achieve a nice grill surface.
iPinium Fry Grid
Grilling on the grooved side, and roasting and baking on the flat side of the iPinium Fry Grid. Place the iPinium Fry Grid on the oven’s own grilling rack. An oven tray may be placed under the rack, to catch any drippings of fat or juices from the food. A tip is to cover the tray with aluminium foil to make cleaning easier.
iPinium Containers
An oven tray with a choice of a 20, 40 or 60 mm high lip around the edge, which is best placed on the oven’s own grilling rack.
Instructions for cooking on the iPinium Fry Grid and Containers
Place the iPinium Fry Grid in the oven, preferably on the oven’s own grilling rack and set the thermostat to 230°C and wait until the temperature has been reached. Meanwhile the iPinium Containers can be laden with food at room temperature. By all means use an additional simple thermometer to be able to control the actual temperature of the oven. As a rule of thumb, always wait 20 minutes before starting to cook even if the oven indicates that 230°C has been reached. Then place the food in the oven quickly such that the oven door is open for as short a time as possible.
Always spread food evenly over the iPinium Fry Grid and place potatoes/vegetables in the gaps between. Roasting and grilling times are adapted for each type of food so that meat, fish and anything else you want to cook, is both healthy and delicious.
You can add your own accompaniments and garnishes – salads, sauces, spices, potatoes, couscous – in fact you are only limited by your imaginition. Food to be grilled should be placed on the grooved side of the iPinium GSB and grilled for the time given in the recipe. Note that the meat, chicken, fish or vegetables should not be turned whilst it is cooking, instead the grilled side should be turned upwards on the plate. Food can of course be turned if preferred, which works for all food and vegetables except frozen pizzas and pies.
When using cooking fat and marinade, dry off the side that will be in contact with the iPinium GSB with kitchen paper. Season with salt and spices to taste, either before or after cooking. When roasting, use the flat side of the iPinium GSB. The flat side of the iPinium GSB also works as a baking stone.
When cooking is complete, lift the oven rack and the iPinium Fry Grid/Containers out of the oven and place on a heat resistant surface. (Warning! The oven rack and the iPinium Fry Grid/Containers are hot! Use oven gloves or a pot-holder). Only use plastic or wooden heat-resistant utensils to lift the cooked food (turning the grilled or roasted side to face upwards) from the iPinium Fry Grid/Containers to a serving dish or plate. Note! Never use metal utensils or cut anything on the iPinium Fry Grid/Containers as this may score the high quality non-stick coating.
The recommended cooking times are based on food starting at room temperature, that is to say, at least 15°C. Dry off the food with kitchen paper before cooking on the iPinium Fry Grid/Containers. The given grilling and roasting times guarantee a good result, and are based on cooking without turning. Cooking times may need to be increased for weights/amounts greater than those given in the recipe.
iPinium Potato Baker
The iPinium Potato Baker is preferably placed in an oven-safe dish or in the oven’s own oven tray so as to catch any drippings of fat or juices from the food. You can cover the oven tray with aluminium foil to make cleaning easier.
Instructions for cooking
Turn on the oven and set the thermostat to the required temperature. Wait until the oven has come up to temperature. Place the iPinium Potato Baker in the oven for the required cooking time. When cooking is complete, lift the oven dish/tray with the iPinium Potato Baker out of the oven and place on a heat resistant surface. (Warning! The oven tray and the iPinium Potato Baker are hot! Use oven gloves or a pot-holder). Only use plastic heat-resistant utensils to lift the cooked food from the iPinium Potato Baker to a serving dish or plate.
